(a few facts)
I'm a Seattle transplant with Baltimore roots, Evanston, Ill.-based schooling, and previous Washington D.C. residency. I like it when people tell me their stories.
I tend to define myself in terms of aspirations, which include cooking masterful things, running
and bicycling long(er) distances, kayaking more often, bending into
yoga poses expertly, attaining fluency in
multiple languages, capturing special moments in words and pictures,
and living abroad for an extended chunk of time.
I'm fond of libraries, grammar nerddom, food blogs and magazines,
miniaturized things, minimalism, moderation, soy-milk substitutions in
espresso drinks, pugs and beagles and chocolate labs, farmers markets,
fine-point Japanese-made pens, the Japanese language for that matter,
along with French, Italian, German, and any other foreign language,
baby grand pianos, lazy mornings with real newspapers, journals and
other documentation techniques, and long walks. I like to document my
explorations here sometimes.
